Your office, on your computer
Start with the AI
you already know.
You do not need to know how to install software. Open your own ChatGPT or Claude app, choose a folder, and paste one prompt. Your assistant will guide you into Staffmor.
Use your computer for setup. If you are on your phone, keep this page and continue on your computer.
Already have an office? Open its Start Staffmor launcher on the computer running it. It opens your local office and signs that browser in as its owner.
Your saved choices and access
Checking this browser’s saved setup and access…
Sign in to Staffmor to recover access on another browser. Use an emailed sign-in link to confirm access and your intended device.
Access has not been checked yet. Saving choices does not activate an office.
- 01
Get the app. Open its coding assistant.
Choose the app you want to use. Already installed it? Go straight to “Open it.”
ChatGPT → Codex
- Download and install ChatGPT on your computer. Get the official desktop app. Choose the download for your computer and follow its installer.
- Open it and sign in. On a Mac, open the app from Applications; on Windows, use the Start menu. Use your own ChatGPT account.
- Switch to Codex. Open the dropdown that says ChatGPT and select Codex. If your app opens directly as Codex, you are already in the right place. Start a New chat.
Cannot find Codex? Update the desktop app, then follow the official app walkthrough. Account availability and usage limits come from your provider.
Claude → Claude Code
- Download and install Claude on your computer. Get the official desktop app.
- Open it and sign in. On a Mac, open Claude from Applications; on Windows, use the Start menu. Use your own Claude account.
- Open the Code tab. Click Code at the top of the app, then choose Local so it works on your computer.
If Code asks you to upgrade, review the provider’s requirement before paying. You do not need to install its command-line tools for the Code tab. See the official Code walkthrough.
- 02
Give your office a folder.
Open Documents in Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows), choose New Folder, and name it Staffmor-office. Leave it empty. It is where Staffmor will keep your office.
In Codex: open that folder as a project and start a new local chat in it. Choose this computer, rather than a cloud environment.
Already have a Staffmor office? Select its existing folder instead. The prompt will help you reopen it and keep its work.
- 03
Paste this. Meet your Staffmor.
Paste the prompt into your new Codex chat in that folder, then send it.
Setup guidance for your AI app
The Open button asks your computer to open Claude Code. Select your folder there and review the prompt before sending. If nothing opens, use the Code tab and paste it yourself.
This same chat becomes your Staffmor coordinator. It will ask what you want help with, set up your team, and open your office in the browser. You will complete sign-in and Staffmor download approval in their normal windows. If Node.js is missing, the assistant will explain how to get it.
Staffmor keeps its team, working instructions and a focused memory checkpoint in the folder. Your coordinator starts with your preferences, decisions and unfinished work, then keeps them current as you work. Your first useful result should appear in the original Staffmor conversation.
Once Staffmor opens
Follow Home → Continue setup to activate your office. Your assistant can guide you through the checklist and help you make one small first request in Staffmor!.
Keep that same local Codex or Claude Code session open. After your request is saved, tell it “Check Staffmor for work.” It follows your office’s instructions and brings the result back to the original Staffmor conversation.
Will my assistant work automatically?
Codex has a separate supported automatic connection, with local folder and network consent. Claude Code can help from your open local session; automatic Claude Code or both-provider background connection is not available in this package. Your checklist shows the actual state.
