How to Build a Content Calendar With AI
To build a content calendar with AI, give it the topics you have approved, the material you can actually use and how much you can review each week, and ask for a schedule where every piece names its source. A content calendar is a plan you can keep. Thirty headlines with nothing behind them is a list of things someone still has to research.
The example is a made-up workshop business.
Count what you have
- One approved interview with the instructor.
- Three photographs of equipment you are allowed to use.
- A checked arrival guide.
- Time to review two pieces a week.
- A customer story still waiting on the customer's permission.
Include the articles you already have. Often the best next piece is a better version of one that exists.
The request
The request: "Plan four weeks of content from the assets below, at two reviews a week. Give each piece one reader question, the asset it comes from, an owner, a review date and where it will be published. Leave the customer story on hold until permission arrives. Prefer improving an existing article to writing a second one on the same question. Do not publish or send anything."
What comes back: the first two weeks
- Week one: What should I bring? Refresh the existing arrival guide from the checked policy.
- Week one: How does the instructor teach a flat repair? Edit the approved interview.
- Week two: Which tools does the workshop use? Built on the three photographs.
- Week two: Where can I park? Scheduled only if the venue confirms. Marked as dependent.
The mistakes to watch for
Scheduling the story you can't run. The customer story is the best piece on the list, so a calendar will want it in week one. Until the customer says yes, it has no date.
Filling every slot. Two reviews a week means two pieces a week. A calendar with five is a calendar where three go out unread or don't go out.
Two pages for one question. A new article on "what to bring" beside the existing arrival guide gives search engines and customers two answers to choose between. Improve the page you have.
When the plan changes
If the venue's answer is late, move the parking piece and pull forward something that is ready. Write down why. Keep a short record of what was actually published and where. A date on a calendar is an intention. Search phrases you hope to rank for are guesses until your own search data says otherwise.
Run it in your Staffmor office
Open the office on the computer running it with its Start Staffmor launcher. If you already have a paired web office, open it here. Paste this request and the source material into the conversation. Use your approved Codex connection, or ask your open Claude Code session to "Check Staffmor for work." A saved request is not a completed result. Review the answer or file when it comes back and reply with corrections. Ask for the asset inventory first and the schedule second, so you can correct the inventory before anything is planned on it.
Staffmor plans from what you have. Publishing, and asking customers for permission, stays with you. New to Staffmor? Set up your office with Codex or Claude Code and an empty folder. Use your own supported AI account and approve the download, office activation and local folder/network access during setup. Claude Code pickup is manual; keep that local session open.
